Lamyka had a brilliant idea (or so she thought) for this month's episode. Me (Lamyka) and Star sit down to share some of the questions that we'll be discussing in the coming year for the show. After much reluctance, Star participated and it turned out to be a lot of fun. We hope you like some of the questions we bring up. If you'd like to share or have some of your own included then contact us directly or go to the Pagan Women's Facebook FanPage and post up yours! Hope everyone had a great March and Spring Equinox.

This is a much more concise show, packed with all sorts of different segments. I have a new 'Olelo No'eau, a segment on Health, more music, meditation, etc. I'm actually very proud of this show and all it covers. I hope for even better shows in the future. Going monthly has been great. I hope everyone had a great Spring Equinox!!

Happily and also belatedly here is the February Pagan Women's Episode! Cara, Star, and I (Lamyka) have a very fun learning episode for ourselves and for each other. The main rule of this recording was to find 2 or 3 Goddesses that we knew nothing about or never knew before and to do a bit of research then share it with everyone. Some mentioned are completely new to all of us and some are new looks into Goddesses we thought we knew. Overall it was a fun episode to record and I hope all of you enjoy!

This month Lamyka, Cara Schulz, and Star Foster sat down to talk about Hellenic Polytheism. Or I (Lamyka) should say, me and Star mostly hurlded question after question at Cara who is a Hellenic Polytheist. It was a great chance to talk about what exactly that means, down the the dailyand sometimes monthly practicalities and actions of devotees. Great fun had by all!

Happy New Year everyone! In this show I talk about being steadfast in our goals and different ways we can help ourselves to do so. Whether through mundane systems and tools like the "buddy system" or the "work for reward" system, or spiritual methods like prayer, we can all remain steadfast in our goals. My special thanks are given out to my friends for helping me and motivating me through their own actions to do the January show.

This December we started a new tradition of having an "open mic" night for Pagan Women's. We covered topics suggested by those who participated and contributed via email or the FB event wall. We talked about our Solstice celebrations, the year to come, and our own 'fantasy festivals'. I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year celebration and does well in 2012!

Many thanks to Rev. Crystal Blanton for taking time out of her very demanding schedule to sit down with me and talk about her books, her many years of counseling, her experiences, and more. In this episode we have a great discussion about what trends seem to be occuring in the growing Pagan Community. We also talk about certain problems that seem to plague it still. All in all a wonderful lady to sit down with and have a fun and provacative conversation!

Below is the re-print of the FB event. I want to seriously THANK those who participated. This affected me so much I don't even know how to vocalize how grateful I am to all of you, participants & Honorees!
This is a break from the normal discussion based style of Pagan Women's.
It's a series of separate recordings, the voices of Pagan women. The main gist is that each of us would say someone they are honoring who has passed, and why/how this person is important. This can be family, friends, people who touched your life but whom you never met, animals, plants, etc. Remember Honoring someone means honoring a being that deserves it--regardless of form or affiliation.
Each of us would say it as if they were speaking to the person's face, and we don't give our own names so as to focus on the content of what we're sharing. I (Lamyka) will write the base sentences and give a time limit, that way there is continuity in what is being said.
For those who are Pagan podcasters or those handy with recording they can record their own and get the mp3 to me (lamyka@gmail.com). Those who aren't too handy with recording can set a time with me on skype where I can record what you say.
==============================================
Below are the base sentences that all the recordings must have, also please keep the recordings between 5-10min.
"Thank you. Thank you, <insert being's name>, you whom I Honor. I remember <insert memory of being that you would honor>.
I hope to Honor you with my words of Remembrance as you Honored me with your presence in my life. <insert blessing of your chosen path>"
**The above doesn't have to be entirely in english but if you do use multiple languages (I know I will) just make sure it's still understandable to those who only understand English. (ie: Thank you. Mahalo nui loa, <insert name>, you whom I Honor...// Mahalo nui loa means thank you very much in Hawaiian but I said it right after the english phrase 'thank you' so the listener can probably infer that)**

This is the second half of Laura's interview where we get into some pretty interesting discussions digging deeper into topics related to ancestor worship. Don't forget to check out her book, it's a definite must have! Also, have you gone by the page and donated? I have literally thousands of downloads but only a few contributors, why not show some love and donate today? Remeber, even $5 helps.

This is the first part to a two part series where I sit down and talk with the indomnible Laura Patsouris. Her book Weaving Memory: A Guide to Honoring the Ancestors is the main point from which we discuss all sorts of topics related to Ancestor Work, metaphysical protection, bloodlines, and so much more! I encourage everyone to either buy her book (I have a copy and I'm definitely recommending it!) and or stick around next week for the conclusion to this interview. Enjoy!
